The film follows young activists around the globe Anuna and Adélaïde (Belgium), Luisa (Germany), Léna ...。反映80年代的台湾农村生活，城市来的专科学校毕业的女技术员凌云峰指导农民改种花卉，老一辈村民反对，而农校毕业的青年周永健在推广花卉种植技术的过程中给予大力支持，成为其助手，继而两人相爱。花卉种植成功，农民收入增加，村舍面貌改观。年轻一代在共同战胜困难中产生了爱情。
但当女技术员获悉永健与村长之女千惠是青梅竹马以后，为了成全他们，她自己则回到了城市。。本片根據真實事件改編。在南非的種族隔離政策解除之後，官方成立了「真相與和解委員會」，目的在於調查種族仇恨事件的真相。 擔任委員會主席的大主教戴斯蒙屠圖前往一座戒備森嚴的監獄，審問一名種族歧視的殺人犯皮亞特，在交談的過程中，戴斯蒙漸漸發現皮亞特是一位狡猾的罪犯，他並不要求原諒，反而不斷挑戰戴斯蒙的信仰和寬恕的底線，戴斯蒙也在過程中漸漸懷疑寬恕的可能性…。
