Hugo Llor, a 12-year-old boy who spends most of his time on the streets. His day is also spent in the shipyards and his dream is to become a shipbuilding craftsman, although his fate is uncertain. Hugo's life is not easy, he is a very lonely boy and his mother is forced to move away from him, but he has the support and protection of a respected old man: Arnau Estanyol.。半平太（锦户亮 饰）被逼自尽后竟然穿越到了现代，在经历了一连串宛如灾难一般的意外后，半平太遇见了善良的老人佐伯真人（森本里奥 饰）。佐伯经营着一间补习班，他不仅收留了无处可去的半平太，还任命他成为了补习班的临时老师。
佐伯的孙女晴香（比嘉爱未 饰）对于半平太的真实身份十分怀疑，充满了戒备。之后，半平太遇见了在他之前穿越过来的坂本龙马（神木隆之介 饰），两人联手寻找回到过去的方法。随着时间的推移，半平太和佐伯一家人之间产生了深深的羁绊，半平太利用着战场上的经验，解决了身边发生的一个又一个难题，获得了孩子们的喜爱与信任。。
