这天夜里，刘道奇与儿子发生口角。第二天刘老爷被发现受巨毒而亡。刘家儿女、杨月明都有嫌疑。当所有证据都指向是杨月明所为时，她却咬出这场图财害命、嫁祸他人的阴谋都是齐管家一手谋划，但却没有任何证据指正他，更何况是杀人的动机。
而更让人意外的是，在密柜发现的刘道奇留给李校尉的一封信中，刘将所有的秘密说出，并将一半的财产留给了齐守诚。。
