瑞秋辞去了咖啡店的工作，开始尝试在时尚界发展。马克为她找了一份工作，但罗斯认为马克对她有企图，变得非常敏感。周年纪念日那天，瑞秋仍在加班，罗斯带着食物到办公室探望，结果弄得一团糟，被瑞秋赶回家。争吵之后，两人赌气分手。罗斯在和乔伊、钱德勒喝酒时打电话给瑞秋，而马克恰好在场，气愤地挂了电话。两人最终分手。
