伊莎贝尔本是去参加一份新工作的面试，却被关起来连续三天接客...基于真实事件。1991年，法国芭蕾舞剧作家罗朗·佩蒂灵光乍现，由此创作了芭蕾舞剧《舞吧，卓别林》，喜剧之王卓别林一部部经典电影桥段以芭蕾舞的形式得到再现。在此后的岁月里，这出精彩剧目经久不衰，备受欢迎，也成为了男主角路易吉·波尼诺的代表作。2009年，曾执导《谈谈情，跳跳舞》、《变态家族》等作品而备受瞩目的作者导演周防正行决定将《舞吧，卓别林》搬上银幕。凭借这项计划，芭蕾舞女演员草刈民代（《谈谈情，跳跳舞》女主角，周防正行之妻）回归舞台，和老朋友路易吉再次携手，上演了一出全新的卓别林芭蕾舞剧。
