长青林场在巍巍的太平山上，有用之不尽、取之不尽的林木。这是林场主人罗森豪多年经营的成果，森豪早年丧妻，仅有一女罗亚男，既有男性的豪迈更有女性的温柔，甚得父亲喜爱。由于亚男精明能干，故森豪深盼亚男将来自美留学回国后能继承其衣钵；亚男继母觊觎林场财富，屡次加害罗家兄妹，还调来一个工程师做帮手。但工程师为人正直，不予合作。他说话风趣，开始不受亚男待见，后来渐渐以勤奋工作的态度赢得了她的芳心。。Restoration carried out by the National Museum of Singapore and the World Cinema Foundation.
