The mini-series follows the history of the Roman Empire, from approximately the death of Marcellus (24/23 BC) to Claudius' own death in 54 AD. We also see the conspiracy of Sejanus, the infamous reign of Caligula, and Claudiu...。在洛杉矶一间废置的教堂里，一个牧师召集了一班学生与科学家，研究他们找到一个盛有绿色液体的玻璃管。这枝玻璃管可以将魔鬼之子释放，最终可以将魔鬼带到人间，世界末日便会来临。。根据徐淦生电影剧本《白家雀》改编清末，古都北京有个叫桂山破落大户以房产抵押得到一只羽毛全白的"白家雀"，并由此引发出一连串曲折动人的故事。大妞、二妞姐妹因“白家雀之死”被骗进王爷府，结果大妞被王爷奸污后含恨而死；二妞不畏强暴，奋力反抗。最后在朋友们的帮助下，她逃出王爷府，奔向心目中向往的没有罪恶、充满善良自由的地方。 全剧提示了清朝末年政府欺软怕强、软弱无能、欺压百姓的腐败景象，展示了一批爱国志士和普通百姓奋起反抗，为自由抗争的精神。 客串：李金斗、姜昆、大山等。
